Mauch Chunk Brewery is a small brewery and taproom at 67 Race Street in the historic center of Jim Thorpe, named for the town's original name. It is one of the newer places to drink in town, appearing in 2025. The house list sticks mostly to approachable styles: IPAs including a hazy version, lagers and a pilsner, a wheat beer named for Race Street, a bock and a seasonal Oktoberfest. House ciders, including a honey lavender cider, give non-beer drinkers an option. The kitchen serves comfort food for dine-in or takeout, and there is limited outdoor seating. Race Street runs off Broadway, so it is an easy addition to a walk through the downtown shops and restaurants, and it works well for a casual lunch or an afternoon pint between other stops in town.
