Cocoon Coffeehouse & Bakery took its name from the building it sits in — a small structure on the Hawley Silk Mill property once used to store the mill's silk cocoons, before the 1880s mill itself closed in 1956 and was later restored. The kitchen changes its menu daily around what's fresh and local: quiches, hearty soups, panini, and scratch-made pastries alongside fair-trade coffee. A pet-friendly outdoor patio and full breakfast-and-lunch catering round out a spot that reads as much like a neighborhood fixture as a destination cafe.
