Three Hammers Winery makes small-batch wines on a restored 15-acre homestead on Welcome Lake Road outside Hawley, in the Pocono Lake Region. Wines are handcrafted on site in a classic style, and the list includes Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc and an oaked Chardonnay, with seasonal releases. Tastings in the rustic-chic tasting room feature rotating selections. The grounds are a large part of the visit: a pond with Adirondack chairs, a nature trail and patio seating in summer, and a stone fireplace with heated outdoor seating in winter. Live musicians play most Saturdays in season, and the winery also hosts art receptions and sip-and-paint events. Food is light, built around cheese boxes and boards from its sister shop, Milford Wine & Cheese Co. The 1820 Hammer House on the property is available as a vacation rental.
