Waterwheel Café, Bakery & Bar
Casual dining in a restored 19th-century water-powered mill in Milford, serving since the 1990s. The Waterwheel Café, Bakery & Bar wears a lot of hats well: it's a café, a bakery, a pub and a sit-down American restaurant, all under one rustic roof, which makes it one of the easier stops to work into a Pocono itinerary no matter what time of day you turn up. The mill setting does most of the atmospheric work — exposed, weathered, and unmistakably historic — while the food and service stay comfortably casual rather than fussy. Prices land in the mid range ($$), so it's a practical choice for families, a table of friends, or a low-key meal after a day out in the Delaware Highlands. Come hungry, don't overdress, and leave a little room for whatever's come out of the bakery.
